Every display in France requires a declaration to the prefecture or the town hall — the CERFA 14098 form — at least a month before firing, with the same information already entered in the file: organiser, venue, date, responsible pyrotechnician, categories and quantities of fireworks. It gets copied by hand, on the wrong version of the form, with a document missing. And in summer, a prefectural drought order can ban firing across a whole département without you hearing about it other than from a colleague.
PyroDesk pre-fills the CERFA 14098 from the file: client, venue, date and time, pyrotechnicians, products from the firing plan with their categories. You check, complete and file it. Contracts, clauses and safety forms follow the same logic. The prefecture watch monitors all 101 French départements: permanent and seasonal orders, recurring windows such as '1 June → 31 October', drought-related bans; the status is shown on a map of France, and the file warns you if its département is affected.
On 2 July, the watch flags a new drought order in the département of a show planned for the 20th: firing banned across the whole territory until further notice, with a possible exemption for professionals on request. You call the town hall the same day with the text in front of you, file the exemption request and note everything in the file. The CERFA for 20 July, meanwhile, had already been generated and filed on 12 June, without a single line retyped.
