Fireworks storage and magazine

Definition

Storage of fireworks by a professional falls under two regimes depending on quantity. Below the thresholds of the classified installations nomenclature (heading 4210, explosive products), the store remains subject to the rules of the order of 31 May 2010: locked room, reserved for fireworks, no dwelling or flammable material, protected from damp and heat, extinguishers, no smoking, register of goods in and out. Above them, the company operates an installation classified for environmental protection: declaration to the prefecture for small stores, registration or authorisation with a hazard study for larger ones, the thresholds depending on the net explosive content and the hazard division of the products (1.3G, 1.4G). Many pyrotechnicians rent a bay in their supplier's licensed magazine rather than run their own.

In practice, for the display company

The in-and-out register is the first document an inspector asks for, and the one nobody keeps by hand. PyroDesk produces it from stock movements (receipts, withdrawals per job, returns, disposals) and shows at all times the net explosive content held in the magazine, with an alert as the declared threshold approaches.
