Definition
The C4-T2 qualification certificate, renamed F4-T2 when the European categories replaced the former K1 to K4 groups in 2015, is the title that entitles a person to use category F4 fireworks and T2 theatrical pyrotechnic articles. Created by decree 2010-580 and organised by the order of 31 May 2010, it is obtained after training by a body approved by the prefect and an examination. It comes in two levels: level 1 allows the holder to use these articles within calibre and quantity limits set by the order, or under the authority of a level 2 holder; level 2 allows the holder to act as display supervisor without restriction and to lead a crew. The certificate is valid for five years and renewed after a refresher course.
In practice, for the display company
A certificate that expired on 10 July, noticed on the 12th, cannot be fixed. PyroDesk records the level, number and expiry of each pyrotechnician, prints them on the CERFA, refuses to assign a supervisor without a valid level 2 and warns early enough to book the refresher session.
