Where the current tool falls short
- The tool’s catalogue knows neither calibre, duration nor category: “grand finale” is a free-priced line, not a set of items.
- Nothing checks that what is sold is in stock or can be ordered in time; the quote may promise shells the depot no longer has.
- Once accepted, the quote becomes neither contract, firing plan nor declaration: everything has to be recreated in other tools.
What PyroDesk changes
- The quote is built in five minutes from your services and pyrotechnic items, with calibres and quantities, as a professional PDF.
- The client reads it, signs it and pays the deposit on their portal, in their language; the contract follows with the same data.
- The accepted quote feeds the firing plan, reserves stock and pre-fills the declaration; the 3D simulation shows the client what they are buying.
Online quoting tools have a genuine merit: a clean document, sent fast, with a button to accept. For most trades that is enough. For a pyrotechnician the quote carries a far heavier load. It describes a duration, a mood, calibres, a finale, sometimes a soundtrack; it commits stock that must exist on the show date; it is the basis for the contract, the declaration to the authority and the firing plan. A line reading “fireworks — package” says none of that.
The mismatch is paid for later. The quote accepted in February promised 150 mm shells that are no longer at the depot in July, or a duration the remaining stock cannot deliver. The client, meanwhile, has an image in mind that nothing has validated. Then the contract has to be redone by hand, the items retyped for the declaration, the firing plan drawn from a blank sheet, and someone has to remember to invoice the deposit set out in the quote’s terms.
PyroDesk starts from the idea that the quote is the beginning of the dossier, not an isolated document. It is built from your services and your item catalogue, with calibres and quantities, and prices itself. The client receives it on their portal, signs it with a finger and pays the deposit. That same quote then feeds the contract, the firing plan, the stock reservation and the declaration, and the 3D simulation shows them what they have just bought will look like.
