Cancellation cover indemnifies expenses incurred or lost income when the display cannot take place for an external reason: weather beyond a wind or rain threshold defined in the policy, a prefectoral drought order, national mourning, an administrative ban. Property cover protects the firing equipment, desks, racks and fireworks against theft, fire or breakage during transport and set-up. The organiser separately takes out event insurance for the public, the structures and the takings. These policies are negotiated several weeks before the event and require the regulatory declarations and the risk assessment to be produced in order to be valid.
