Definition
The prevention plan is the document the French Labour Code (articles R4512-6 and following) requires when an outside company works inside an operating establishment and the work carries a particular hazard; pyrotechnic work appears in the list of the order of 19 March 1993, which makes the plan mandatory regardless of the duration of the job. It is drawn up jointly by the host establishment (theme park, industrial site, stadium, château, campsite) and the pyrotechnician after a joint inspection of the premises. It lists the risks of interference between activities, the measures adopted, alert and rescue instructions, prohibited areas and working hours. For a display commissioned by a town on public ground it is not a prevention plan but the event organisation that plays this role.
In practice, for the display company
