Definition
Stage pyrotechnics, or theatrical pyrotechnics, form category T of the European classification of pyrotechnic articles: products designed for use on stage, indoors or outdoors, close to the audience and the performers. T1 gathers low-hazard articles usable without special qualification beyond adulthood; T2 gathers those reserved for persons with specialist knowledge, holders in France of the C4-F4-T2 qualification certificate or its equivalent. The category includes stage gerbs, flames and fireballs, flashes and lightning effects, suspended airbursts, stage waterfalls, smoke, confetti mines and stage lances. Every reference ships with its manufacturer safety distance, effect height and operating conditions.
In practice, for the display company
T2 jobs extend the business to concerts, trade shows and indoor weddings, but require the right certificate and strict compliance with manufacturer distances.
