Definition
Golden rain is a fallout effect: gold stars or glitter that, after the break, drift down slowly while sparkling, like a luminous shower. It relies on glitter compositions (aluminium, antimony, charcoal) that produce repeated flashes instead of a steady flame. It is found in shells of 75 to 200 mm, in mines and cakes, and as glittering-comet candles. Fallout lasts three to eight seconds, longer than a peony. Golden rain is close to the willow and the kamuro, but lighter and more sparkling than dense; it dresses the middle heights of a display, softens a transition and pairs especially well with silver and white tableaux.
In practice, for the display company
Golden rain falls for a long time: on a narrow or windy site, its still-incandescent glitter defines the fallout zone more than the burst height does.
